A Few Pics One Year Later

These are a couple of pictures I took last night. As I was editing them, I forgot for a brief moment how sick Grant really has been because he looks so healthy and normal now. He's come a long way. He's still got a long road ahead, but hopefully, the worst is over. His mama and daddy have been troopers over the past year, too. When you deal with things like cancer and loss of loved ones, it makes everything seem so small.

Continue to pray for Grant that his recovery will continue and pray for his parents that they will have the patience to make it through everything they have to go through.

I tell you what- it has been quite a wonderful year, all things being considered. Grant is so much better than one year ago, the doctors were working hard to get him into remission. The best news of all is that Grant has remained in remission all year- even though he still has traces of the leukemia in his blood, he is well on his way to being 100% cured... we'll cross that bridge in 4 more years. 'Til then, we all hope and pray that he continues to tolerate the chemo as well as he does, and that his body grows stronger and more healthy as each month ticks on.

Could he be more gorgeous?
*ahem* Handsome?
Great pictures Aly!
We will continue to keep Grant and the whole Nelson family in our prayers. If I can ever help in any way...please call!

Grant looks so great! I haven't seen you him in person since Relay last year so I'm amazed. Congrats on your one year mile stone - that's one more year closer to him being completely cured!

We hope to see you guys at Relay!

Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you what a wonderful job you did singing at the Relay Survivors Dinner. We got to see alot of our friends and show our support. It was really amazing when all of the survivors stood up, truely a miracle. They are all of our heros! The girls will also be singing at the Relay Kickoff on Friday night - hope to see you all there.
