My baby is 3!

Today is Jacob Kent's 3rd birthday! He is very excited to have his family and friends over for Spiderman cake this evening. When Kevin asked him what he wanted for his birthday, his response was a "cheese sandwich"! Good enough! Maybe he'll like the bike.... If not, a cheese sandwich is never more than a few minutes away!

Charlie James has just arrived home from the hospital. We are all at Grandma's having spaghetti for lunch. Charlie is having a good rest in Pa's lap. Life is good.... We are very blessed!

Hey to my Jakie-Boo! You sure have made our lives fuller for the past three years! I love every inch of you, my sweetie. You will be a wonderful and energetic missionary one day in 2022! Now, if we can keep you from killing yourself playing...

Happy Birthday to You Jacob, you are such handsome young man! In thirteen years I will give you my Allison Kate’s number, and in eighteen years you can take her out.

All of these Hancock children are so beautiful! Jacob is such a cutie pie and Joella's newbie is adorable. (Poor Josie! A huge baby for such a little lady!)

Em - is Jacob Kent after anyone in your family?
Also, I missed YOUR birthday...so happy belated my sweet! Many, many more!

Jacob Kent is named after one of my favorite people! Megan's daddy, Kent Lawrence has always been my "Daddy Kent". We grew up next door to one another. Pa was "Papa Joel" to all of the Lawrence children, and Kent was "Daddy Kent" for all of the Hancock's. So - all of my kids have family middle names (at least - Grant has a double wammy with Matthew Grant, Matthew after Kevin and Grant after Pa). Eden is Eden Elizabeth after Kevin's great-grandmother Elizabeth Nelson who was the first member of our church in his family. And Jacob is Jacob Kent, after my Daddy Kent.

We also like to reference Clark Kent, aka Superman, who has always been our favorite superhero!

I'm sorry I missed you over Christmas, Kel! It was a crazy week! I'll fill you in on all weirdness sometime! Anyway - I'm sure that you guys had a wonderful first married Christmas! Love you!
