No fever!

No fever through the night!

If counts permit and the fever stays away, we may be able to come home tomorrow. (A pretty big if, but we can hope!)

Kevin is coming up this evening and I will probably head home to get some quality Jacob and Eden time!

ANC is .4 today, down from .6 yesterday........ so that may thwart our travel plans. We'll see.

We will just continue to play the waiting game for a little longer!

Grant's spinal tap yesterday was good, so that's great news!

I just added a couple of pictures- sorry about one of them being side-ways. My computer keeps getting kicked off-line, and I am too frustrated to delete it and post it again!!

Grant is taking a nap right now, and he has not run any fever this morning either. He's a wonderful patient (most of the time) so time goes pretty fast.

Emily is very relieved that the spinal tap was clear- most of the kids we have seen relapse have had bad reports after a scheduled spinal tap. There is always a bit of suspense in the air about the months or weeks of spinals. We are looking forward to the day when no abnormal blasts are present! (
That is why Grant will have 3.5 years of chemo- it takes that long to kill ALL of the bad cells.)

Over and out from Chapel Hill.

This is Mama Susan...

ok- who was the sweet person who flipped the sideways picture for me???

Thanks very much!

Grant is still feverless... so if we can make it another 14 hours without one then we're out of here.

Jacob had a little accident at Joella's this afternoon- cut his pinky finger on the propeller of a boat. The funniest part of the bad timing of this accident is that after Kevin met Joella (who had left all the kids with Aly) with Jacob, the nurse at the doctors office said that they wouldn't look at the finger as long as Jacob was screaming.... duh!! A 3year old with a cut finger who needed stitches.... screaming???

Kevin got so frustrated he just took Jacob home. At least the finger had stopped bleeding and Kevin could see that there was not a major artery cut or that the end of his finger was just dangling! Emily is talking to Jacob on the phone as I am typing... he says "I all BETTER!"

You can't make this stuff up.

Sorry about poor Jacobs finger.
Do I need to write an "open letter" to that nurse?
Cause you know I will!

Good Bless You EVERYONE!!!!!!!
Em, Grant did remind me of Elizabeth Smart.:)
Poor Jacob. What a dumb doctors office! They would never see Easton. Ever time a nurse or doctor walks in he starts crying. Even if we are there just for a well baby check up.
