Happy Anniversary today and happy birthday tomorrow Em!

9 years ago it was a-freezing in Washington DC when Em and Kevin were married. They were such a beautiful couple- so excited and so ready to begin their eternal relationship. Too wonderful for words.

32 years ago tonight Pa and I had our last night together as a couple with no children!! We went to see a movie, and I was kinda nervous about having a baby. After a good night's sleep, I woke up in labor, and Emily Marlowe Hancock was born at 5:03 pm during the half-time of the Sugar Bowl... my doctor waited until half-time to deliver her... I was too foolish to fuss at him about the delay!!!

Grant has been a little stinker this weekend with the addition of the dexamethosone for the past 3 days. He's just so sad... cries for long extended periods. Fortunately, he will finish this 5 day pulse of dex tomorrow.

So, a little while after Joella wrote this she came over to my house and stole Grant for a couple of hours. I'm thinking that was my present. OR - is the impending birth any day now of baby Charlie James Morris my birthday present? OR - did she actually order something that hasn't come in yet? I'm so confused!? ;)

It definitely has been an interesting weekend. I emailed Dr. Blatt to get the low-down on the dexamethasone. It basically just makes Grant SO SAD! I am looking forward to a response.

So - thanks for the happy wishes! I hope today is indeed a happy day.

Happy birthday Emily!

DX use to make Michael very hungry and sad/edgie. Sometime the littlest things, like his youngest brother talking to loud, would get on his nerves.

Happy New Year

My prayer for your family for the new year is for happy times, family times, friendship times, and most of all God times (when you feel the presence of our Lord in your life --- holding you up, walking beside you, and giving you strength for the journey).
